What Is A Project
What Is A Project?
In Justtasks, a Project is a collection of two or more related tasks that together achieve a single outcome.
The distinction matters. A task is a single action — one thing you do and it's done. A project is anything that requires more than one step to complete. "Book a dentist appointment" is a task. "Redecorate the living room" is a project.
This separation comes directly from the Productivity Ninja philosophy. When a multi-step outcome sits on your task list as a single item, your brain knows it isn't really one action — and that creates invisible friction. Nothing happens because there's no clear next step. Breaking it into a Project with individual tasks removes that friction and makes progress obvious.
In Justtasks, each Project holds its own tasks, tracks its own progress, and keeps your Master List clean and actionable. If you find a task growing in complexity, you can convert it to a Project directly from the task list.
